2008 MNREIA Summer Sizzler: Lou Brown, Wendy Patton…
Sunday, July 20th, 2008I just got back from a 3 day weekend for the 2008 Summer Sizzler put on by Mike Jacka and the MNREIA crew. He did another great job for this year’s summer event. We got to see about 7 speakers jam-packed into these 10 hour days. Each day started at 9am, and on Saturday dinner for everyone at 7pm with cashflow 101 going to 10pm at night.
Here is the breakdown of the schedule:
Richard Flint started it off at 9am on Friday, and spoke and trained for 3 hours and did a great job of working on everyone’s mindset and asking a lot of great questions of everyone. He had some of his personal students in the audience. Richard has been speaking for 29 years!
After lunch we got to have Wendy Patton teach us lease options for about 90 minutes. She went over some examples of how she has been doing them for 23 years, and what she has learned, some of her tips and tricks. She breifly covered subject to, and spoke about some of her upcoming books.
To finish off the night Donna Bauer spoke about the note business and the short sale business and how to effectively work each transaction. She gave a great power point presentation with good visuals, and let everyone know how they could do simo closes much easier with notes than with the property title. Donna has been in the business nearly 20 years.
Saturday started off at 9am with David Lindahl talking about his $252million in apartment buildings, and how he just picked up a 299 unit in Dallas, Texas. This guy has a ton of energy, and is a very good speaker. He seems like a very hard worker, and his bootcamp sounds like it would be well worth it. David owns just a ton of units.
After lunch we got to have Justin Ryan speak about emerging markets. I have never heard of Justin or heard him speak before. He spoke mostly about Biloxi Mississippi, gulf zone, and the bus tours they have. He is working with Wendy Patton on this project, and their were some very large grants available to people. Biloxi is expected to be a very hot area in the future.
After Justin , was Nick Sidoti, wow, if you haven’t seen this guy speak before, it’s very entertaining, this guy has about the most energy you have ever seen. He is blunt, funny and really has some off the wall jokes. He has been inesting since 1979, and his many programs available were very affordable. He specailizes in rental properties that cash flow very big, management of properties, and also on special needs housing where he rents out rooms and gets paid by the government.
Saturday ended with Sherry Watson, she spoke about Grants, and her program on how to do them. She talked about the many connections you can have with the grant business, the multi millions available, and all of the good you can do with them. Saturday then went into dinner for everyone and a raffle where vacations, numerous gift cards, and a laptop were given away. The night ended from about 8pm to 10pm with many people playing cashflow 101.
Sunday was finished off with a 9am to 5pm full day with Louis Brown. This guy has been around nearly 30 years in the business and is a fan favorite. He sold plenty of his whole enchilada products, and it’s not wonder, he really covers a lot of niches, and you can really sense his experience especially with details, cash flow and real estate forms. He is always entertaining, and did a great question and answer session.
There were well over 100+ people out this weekend to stay for the presentations, and many great programs were purchased from these great speakers. I look forward to another great bootcamp in the future.
