What is a tag cloud? For those of you not familiar, a tag cloud is a lot of random links, often in alphabetical order scattered in an area, often a square or retangular area that are relevant to a particular page’s category. The can come in all types of color and background situations, but I think a very common one is blue on white. Where the links and text are blue.
Here is another explanation:
The font size of the title in the cloud indicates how relevant the product is to your page – the larger the title, the more closely the product should match the topics on your page. This widget is ideal for sites with changing content such as blog pages. It will keep up with your changing page by automatically showing new titles as your page evolves.
This product tag cloud widget is actually even better than the average one, you can do a mouseover on it and actually find out more about a product for that category.
I have provided an example below, as you mouseover each category you will see how it works. Tag clouds are pretty common on the internet these days. When I first saw them I thought they were strange, but the fact that some links and text jump out at you if they are more relevant, is actually a pretty good ideal for targeting.
