Go to Facebook.com and join this group now. The group is called Time is Money by Ron Orr

This group is for those who think their time has value and want to socialize with like-minded people that want to talk intelligently about personal development topics. (Smart Talk) The people in this group will be driven, self-motivated, and want to add value to the world, and help others achieve success. The people of this group will probably be of high energy, nice, and likable. Please feel free to join this group if you meet this criteria, and please invite all of the people that meet these standards.
“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

The idea is that anyone can name a place, day, time, and a topic they want to meet others and talk about. The rule is that you have to provide the info of where, when, and time of where it is, and your phone# so someone can confirm if they need directions or want to verify you are there. This is not meant as a platform to do a big sales pitch. Talking about what you do and how you can help is fine, just not an obvious sales pitch. The idea is to inform, educate each other, bounce ideas off each other, and come up with solutions how to help the masses by adding value to the world. You are welcome to bring business cards and brochures so you can meet these people later.
The people in this group see themselves as leaders, or future leaders, trainers, and those who want to help educate others to lead a more well-balanced life, where we may all hold each other more accountable to higher standards and goals. The purpose of the group is that we all somewhat hold each other accountable for raising the bar of what we deem acceptable for our well-balanced life. It should be a very casual social setting to have some drinks, appetizers and talk to others. This group is for those that want to someday change the world in their own way and create waves.

Acceptable topics for now are:
Real Estate
Investing
Economy
Personal Development
Goals
Fitness
Business
Self-Employed
Tax Savings
Retirement
Baby Boomers
Housing Crisis
Politics only about economy/money
MLM as a business
Email Other Ideas to me

NO TOPICS that are NOT related to personal development, or self improvement or education for others, financially, spirituality or providing for a well-balanced life.
NON ACCEPTABLE topics are:
sports
TV
reality TV
music
hobbies
cars
past time type stuff
movies
internet
poker
smoking/drugs
celebrities

Our suggestion for now is to print out the RonOrr.com logo and print it out and put it at the end of your table for wherever you are meeting others, so they can find you at the bar, restaurant, coffee shop, etc.

For January we will probably just ramp up to get 100-300 people to join this group, once we meet 100 people we may start have small random meetings. The idea is that someone can name a place eventually on 1-2 hours notice, small gathering of even 3-5 people at a coffee shop for example.

Richard Flint Exiting the Rat Race

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

I am listening this CD for about the 4th time. I do like this guy’s energy. He has been speaking for 25+ years I believe.  To me he is like a Tony Robbins, he gives you energy and really makes you think.  He is big on helping you make the most of your time and make the most of your life.  He hates to see people be exhausted, he wants to see people succeed.  He is big on being organized and not move so fast that nothing gets done.   He doesn’t like people racing through the day , day after day not doing the right things.  The wrong behaviors create a rat race. I have seen him in person two times, it’s well worth it.  He wants you to be able to manager your pace, not get frustrated or overwhelmed.   His audio is really good at making you think hard and shaking up the way you think about things, that’s important.  He has a lot of energy, the entire time he is talking.  He is a good story teller, funny and he is very well traveled.  He has another CD named Listening with your eyes wide open, I have heard that a few times, and will listen to it again next and may write about it later, so stay tuned.  This CD is again upbeat and can help if that’s what you are looking for.   Richard Flint doesn’t like excuses at all, which I agree with.   He is a big believer about how you spend your time.  His CD talks a lot about discipline, focus, and organization.  He says “behavior defines us”  He talks a lot about how people spend their entire life.   He talks about the exit door and how to not be trapped and get to the other side. This was a great CD, I highly recommend it.

Psychology of Winning Denis Waitley

Friday, May 15th, 2009

I just got done listening to this tape set. It was recorded quite a few years ago, but it’s very great for a positive attitude.  There are a lot of great ideas on positive things to think about and how to get negative thoughts out of your head.  This tape set covers a lot of ideas, and this is a very experienced speaker.  According the description:

In The Psychology of Winning, you’ll learn how to:

  • Make a habit of the Ten Steps to Winning taken by all Olympic champions, top sales stars, and top executives.
  • Focus your dominant thoughts on leading you inevitably to victories in all your challenges.
  • Create a new optimistic way of life.
  • Understand and control the fundamental key to all human behavior.
  • Boost your “winning average” with positive self-expectancy.
  • Develop optimal self-esteem in your employees, your children, and yourself.
  • Harmonize the Three Zones of Growth to keep yourself in the winner’s circle.

This is another one of those programs that really works on your mindset, it makes you more focused on getting things done and knowing you can do it.  I heard some great new ideas in this program.

Creating Your Future Dr. Dennis R. Deaton

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

I am finishing up listening to this 6 tape set. This tape set was recorded from a live seminar.  It’s copyrighted from 1996.  The one teaching and speaking is Dr. Dennis R. Deaton.  He is a big believer in concepts he trademarked and created, which are Visioneering, and Power Goaling which is like Mental Moving Making.  He has some very inspirational stories on this tape set.  Dennis is very well spoken and knows this niche well.  The company he owns is TimeMax, Inc. and QUMA Learning, Inc.  Some concepts you’ll learn about in this tape set would be the substance of thought.   Human behavior and personal mind management.  Developing concentration ability.  Implementing Literal Visualization.   Employing Daily Reinforcement, also conscious and subconscious ideas.  Sources of willpower and drive.  There is a lot of talk about the subconscious mind and how it works.

This course comes with a very short manual/book 20 pages long.  The website in the manual is quma.net, not sure if that website is still operational when you read this, at the time of this writing in January of 2009 it is.  Dr. Dennis R. Deaton has some participation with those in the audience and uses a paper eisel and whiteboard to work with their ideas, and does some good question and answer sessions.

He has a session near the last 2 cassette tapes where he asks for participation, ideas and feedback from the audience, which makes it easier to relate to.  He gives a lot of encouragement of others ideas that the provide throughout the seminar.  He let’s people come up with their mental movies. He wants you to imagine the destination, and the route to it will come from your subconscious.
